Sims Preston

Sims Preston is senior vice president and general counsel at TruTechnologies, bringing legal, executive, and operating experience across software, healthcare technology, and strategic transactions.

Before joining TruTechnologies, Sims was chairman and president of Polyglot Systems, which was sold to a strategic buyer in 2017. Prior to Polyglot, he spent 14 years as a lawyer in private practice and as in-house counsel for companies including Quintiles Transnational Corp., now IQVIA, and Nuance Communications.

His legal work has included software licensing, strategic transactions, intellectual property prosecution and maintenance, and litigation. Sims earned his JD from Duke University School of Law and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
